The American superstar Bryson DeChambeau won the Arnold Palmer Invitational Championship on Sunday in the special tournament that was held at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Florida, DeChambeau surpassed the Englishman Lee Westwood with his distinguished performance, who finished second.
The annual championship of Arnold Palmer Invitational in the PGA Tour, held every year on the course owned by the late legend Arnold Palmer, concluded on Sunday, with controversial star Bryson Deschambeau winning by 11 under Par, Bryson performed a very realistic tournament in which he outperformed the most prominent stars who participated in the tournament. He proved his ability to play in difficult conditions on Sunday, as the conditions were not ideal for golf and most players suffered from the wind throughout the final round, but the winner played steadily and distinctively that enabled him to score a below par in the final round to win the championship. Lee Westwood, 47, finished second, one stroke behind the winner, with 10 under par, and although he started the final round with a lead by one stroke, he could not maintain the lead.
On the other hand, the attempt to drive the green by Bryson DeChambeau on Hole number 6, which resulted in the longest drive in the history of the hole at 377 yards, created a lot of talk and attention between followers, as exciting as it gets to see someone drive the ball over the lake, the distance the ball travelled from tee to landing crossing the lake has never been achieved before.
One of the much anticipated tournaments on Tour is coming up this week, The Players Championship, which will be held at TPC Sawgrass, Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
