Augusta National Golf Club is a private golf club, located in Augusta, Georgia. The club was established in 1933 and was founded by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts. The course hosts The Masters tournament, one of the four majors, and the only major played in the same location every year.
Augusta National is considered the most exclusive golf club, the club has only three hundred privileged members, the course is also one of the most beautiful places to play golf especially in April when all the greens and fairways are perfectly manicured preparing to host The Masters, the picturesque views around the course during the tournament attract a huge number of funs to the event to watch and follow the best players compete for the green jacket.
Each hole on the course has it’s name taken from a tree or a plant as the course was formerly a plant nursery, there is a famous corner called “Amen Corner” around the 11th and the 12th holes and is considered crucial for every player’s chances to win.
The famous caddies white jumpsuits is worn by all caddies year round, the club also employs a staff of caddies to assist members and professionals.
Hosting The masters every year becomes a tradition and an event that attracts worldwide attention, with participation of the best golfers around the world, a spectacle is guaranteed every April especially on Sunday afternoon. The winner of The Masters is bestowed the famous green jacket and is the only one allowed to take it outside the club for a year, the winner is also granted an honorary membership to the exclusive club.
